Generally, TCOPA members are employed by a Board-certified Orthopaedic surgeon or by an Orthopaedic facility.
The executive board for TCOPA is very proactive in Texas and at the national level. There are a lot of things happening for OPA’s in the state and at a national level and we would like to personally invite you to take part in these future opportunities. Classifications of Membership: Fellow and Affiliate
Fellow members are required to have passed a certification exam from the National Board for Certification of Orthopaedic Physician's Assistants, and attained the certification of OPA-C. Fellow members are eligible for voting privileges at the annual TCOPA meeting and may hold office on the Executive Board. Applicants which are not certified OPA-C’s are encouraged to join as Affiliate members. As Affiliate members applicants will receive the same benefits as Fellow members with the exception of voting privileges and the ability to hold office on the Executive Board.
Both memberships provide the applicant with the opportunity to participate in educational and networking benefits, such as the newsletter subscription, membership directory, legislative voice and discounted meeting registration fees.
Membership applications are available upon request. The application includes instructions on mailing the application and membership fees, which are $200 for both Fellow and Affiliate membership.
